Now is an excellent time to get your compost going with red worms to make castings to use as your very own organic fertilizer!  Worms are excellent to put in your compost- traditional outdoor pile or indoor vermicompost bin, spread a few around the garden, feed fish or other aquarium animals, or go fishing!  Red wigglers can survive underwater for many hours -and wiggle while they're at it- so are a great bait.
